Polar Vortex Pipe Burst

The beginning of 2019 brought more than a new year for our us and our clients here in northern IL. This homeowner was out of town when the deep freeze of the Polar Vortex hit and unfortunately had a pipe burst in their home from the extreme temperature drop. Luckily the neighbors noticed something wasn't right and notified them. Their son was able to get a hold of the city to shut off the water and gave us a call. When we arrived, that damage was extensive. The pipe had burst on the second story and caused damage through the first floor and into the basement. We had to remove a lot of drywall, insulation and flooring as well as dry everything out. Reconstruction is still currently going on.
