Water damage while selling home

A few days after this home was listed for sale and active on the market there were a string of thunderstorms that came through Lake County and brought a lot of rain in a short time along with damaging winds and hail. The power went out at the home and since it was being sold, the owners weren't living in it. There was almost three feet of water in the basement by the time they checked the house. The sump pump hadn't been working because the power was out.
